On the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula is located the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh – translated as “Tsarist (Sheikh) Bay” – having the reputation of the most prestigious seaside resort in Egypt. In any of the 12 months of the year, charter airplanes deliver tourists here from Western Europe, and in recent years – from Russia, in a continuous stream.
Sharm el-Sheikh is rightly considered one of the most beautiful Egyptian resorts, and its beauty is special. A variety of outlandish colors, emerald green of lawns, trees and palm trees, burdened with hanging dates, spacious beaches with soft warm sand, turquoise sea and blue pools lakes – all this is in a kind of contrast and at the same time in amazing harmony with multicolored canyons, fabulous rocks and yellow sand .
The resort area of Sharm el-Sheikh stretches along the coast of the Red Sea for 35 km. Two dozen first-class hotels and tourist villages were built on the shore of the spacious Naama Bay, where everything was created for recreation and sports.
Like in other resorts of the Red Sea, the tourist season in Sharm el-Sheikh is never interrupted: you can sunbathe and swim here all year round, and even in the winter months the water temperature does not fall below 20-22 degrees, and the air – below 23-25 degrees of heat.
